If you plan to park when dropping off your student:
The Hopkins Parking Structure is located at the intersection of John Hopkins Drive and Voigt Drive, with vehicle entry points just north of the intersection of John Hopkins Drive and Voigt Drive and from Voigt Drive west of the intersection near the top of the hill. Click here to see it on an area map.
Parking permits can be purchased from machines next to the elevators on each level. The permit machines take credit cards or cash, but provide no change. The parking permit allows you to park in both green and yellow marked spaces. Please note that white spaces marked “V” are good with hourly permits only. Hourly “V” permits are $1.00 per hour. Place the parking permit face up on your dashboard in full view.
To get to SDSC, go to the top level of the parking structure via stairs or elevator (Level 7) and take the bridge west into the Social Sciences patio. Turn right to exit the patio northward along the north-south walkway between the west and east sections of the Social Sciences building. That walkway intersects the sidewalk that leads to SDSC.
To get to the Auditorium, turn right at the sidewalk intersection and continue down the path to the SDSC Lobby entrance. Once inside, walk towards the stairs ahead of you in the distance. Continue down the stairs until the bottom level and walk out the door. Continue down the set of outdoor stairs. The Auditorium is on your right.
For those of you who would like to use an elevator, continue to the stairs in front of you inside the Lobby entrance and walk around the staircase, all the way around, and the elevator will be on your right. Take the elevator to Level B1 and exit out the elevator to the left. Walk out the door, turn to the right andntake the next elevator down to B2. Exit the elevator and turn right. The Auditorium will be on your right.
Alternate route to the Auditorium without entering SDSC:
Once you have entered the parking structure and paid for your permit, exit the parking structure by walking to the east via the stairs or elevator in the south/east corner of the parking structure. Walk out of the structure and turn left, walking past the parking structure. SDSC is the next building on the left. Please look for the open double doors.
If you will be dropped off:
If you are being dropped off, there is a drop off location directly in front of the Auditorium. Follow directions above, but turn into the driveway in front of our building right before the parking structure. The Auditorium will be on your left as you face the building. Please look for the open double doors.
