BEWISE@SDSC 2009 It's All About 3D!! Presented by Jeff Sale http://education.sdsc.edu/bewise2009/ "BE WISE girls will learn all about what it means to be able to see in three dimensions, and how easy it is to create interactive 2D and 3D animations without doing any programming. Girls will learn the same 3D modeling and animation tools used to make big budget Hollywood films and video games. They will build their own 3D virtual worlds, then export and share them with each other and the rest of the world through the Google Earth 3D interface. They will also learn how these easy-to-use tools can be used for scientific research at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. Girls will leave with their own pair of stereo lenses to view 3D stereo images they create." Session 2, also for a group of 20 girls, will be from 11am to 12:45pm with one 15 minute break.
